I have lived and worked in and around Southampton for most of my life.
The area has much to offer for artists. Southampton has its busy container port, cruise ship traffic, historic buildings and bustling commercial areas. The waters of the Solent attract thousands of yachts and pleasure boats while those preferring to keep their feet on firm ground can enjoy the quiet villages and scenery of the Isle of Wight and New Forest.
