Meeting at Catisfield Memorial Hall. Friday 2:00-4:00PM (Term-time)

Denmead Art Group
Meeting at Denmead Community Centre, School Lane, Denmead (Tel 023 9225 6132) Wednesdays from 10am to 12noon and 1pm-3pm (2 sessions)
  • Annual Membership: Denmead Community Association £3 per annum + £5 per person per term.
  • The Denmead Art Group is a small group of people i.e. 40 strong, who enjoy all medias of painting.
  • Each term we have a guest artist to demonstrate, and a model.
  • Lending library of books and videos.
  • All members are informed of lcoal exhibitions and regularly participate.
  • Outdoor workshop arranged in the summer term.

Lee-On-The-Solent Art Group
Meeting at Lee Methodist Church Hall, High Street, Lee-on-Solent 2nd Tuesday in each month - 7.30 pm
  • Annual Membership £12.
  • Formed in 1972.
  • The aims of the group - The general encouragement and appreciation of the visual arts.
  • Monthly meetings with talks and demonstrations from artists.
  • Regular open air exhibitions in the summer.
  • Outdoor painting days in the summer.
  • Workshops and classes in the winter.
  • Trips to galleries and art festivals.
  • Restriction: Must be over 16 years of age.

Painting For Pleasure Group
Meeting at Havelock Community Centre, Old Fawcett Road, Southsea. Wednesday mornings from 9.00 am to 12.45 pm
  • Annual Membership: Must become member of Havelock Community Centre - Small annual fee (under £4) + £4 for 10 sessions in advance.
  • Available for anyone to join in painting or drawing of their
    own choice
  • No tuition but everyone willing and helpful - We help each other.

Portsmouth & Hampshire Art Society
Meeting at St Luke's Church Hall, Greetham Street, Portsmouth 7:30-9:30pm on last Thursday in most months of the year, 10.00 am to 3.00 pm every Thursday in term time.
  • Annual Membership
    £7 Associate
    £10 Full Membership.
  • We hold evening demonstrations, social evenings and artclasses.
  • We give help with picture framing and opportunity to
    exhibit in our exhibitions.
  • We arrange occasional group visits to exhibitions

Rowlands Castle Painting Society
Meeting at Rowlands Castle Parish Hall Twice monthly on Tuesdays in Winter. Every Tuesday in Summer
  • Annual membership £10 from September 1st.
  • Membership limit 250 (current waiting list 4)
  • Winter programme of painting demonstrations by professional artists in all media.
  • Summer outdoor painting groups weekly at pre determined venues.

Stubbington Art Group
Meeting at Methodist Church Hall, Stubbington Mon & Wed mornings 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:30 pm
  • Charges: 12 week, Thursday evening, £25 per term No charge for outdoor
    in summer.
  • Varied programme including still life, working from
    displays, figure composition, (model on occasions), landscape and working from photos, illustrations and outdoors.
  • Most mediums covered including watercolour, oil, acrylics, pastel and mixed media.
  • No upper age limit and lower age limit a minimum 15 years.

Wallington Art Society
Meeting at Wallington Village Hall, Fareham 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month throughout year 7 pm - 9.30 pm
  • Annual Membership: £5 + £3. per meeting.
  • This in an art group where members can come and spend an evening doing artwork of their choice with some tuition, guidance if they request this.
  • Coffee, tea and biscuits provided.
