Hurst Castle is one of the many forts guarding the entance to Southampton Water.
Originally built by Henry VIII and greatly extended during Napoleonic times it is located at the end of a long shingle spit accessible on foot from Milford on Sea or by passenger ferry from Keyhaven.

The Black House is located on the northern tip of the Mudeford Sand Spit at the entrance to Christchurch Harbour. Accessible on foot or by Dotto Train from the car park on Hengistbury Head, also by passenger ferry from Christchurch and Mudeford Quay.

HMS Victory is a 104-gun first-rate ship of the line.
Laid down at Chatham Dockyard in 1759 and launched in 1765.
Victory was Lord Nelson’s flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar 21st October 1805.
